Scorers & Timers Clinics
Sunday February 05 2012
WALOA (Washington Lacrosse Officials Association) will be offering their 2012 version of the Scorer and Timekeeper Clinic on Saturday, Feb 25 from 2:30-5pm. The Clinic will be held at the Bertona Classrooms on the SPU campus on North Queen Anne.
This class will introduce and refine the skills needed to be an effective and accurate scorer or timekeeper for both middle school and high school games.
In our program, parent volunteering is an essential element to the success of the season, and becoming a scorer or timer is a great way to fulfill that obligation. It’s also an excellent way to learn the game and to get the unique perspective of the game as can only be seen from the scorer’s table.
If you are interested in attending, please register. The cost is a nominal $5.00…what else can you get for 5 buck these days?

March 10th, 2012, regular season games schedules start. When we get our schedules finalized by the league, we will post a link to them here.
This year, all of our home games will be at Lower Genesee Field, one of the newest turf fields in the city. This will be great!
We’d like to thank all of you who came to the meeting on the 24th. It was great seeing a lot of familiar faces and getting to meet some of you new parents. As the season gets underway, we will be letting you know of some volunteer opportunities available, such as score keeping or game timers/spotters. This are pretty easy skills to pickup, are fun, and a great way to learn the game at the same time.
If you are new to the sport, please check out the Lax Linx page. There are some pretty good resource materials there to get you going.
If you have any questions about rules during the games, feel free to ask one of us old timers, or even ask a referee during halftime…they’ll be glad to answer…
We hope both you and your player have a great time with Wolfpack Lacrosse this season!
Parent Meeting Cancelled
Tuesday January 17 2012
In case you have’t heard, the meeting for all parents scheduled for tonight 1/17, has been cancelled.
We’ll try and get it rescheduled and will let you know when and where…
Stay warm and safe...
A note about Registrations and a Reminder...
Monday January 16 2012
Registrations are now closed for the 2012 Season of Wolfpack Lacrosse. Thanks to everyone who signed up!
Remember please that the All-Parent Mandatory Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 1/18 at 7pm in the Miller Community Center. If you haven’t already done so, please download the Liability Waivers, fill them out and bring them with you to the meeting. We must have hard copies of all waivers before your kids will be allowed to play.
This meeting will be an opportunity for the program director, Ryan Kelly, to talk a bit about expectations, schedules, and other important stuff I’m sure. His talks are always entertaining…think Ricky Gervais without the alcohol…or the sharp clothes…and oh yeah, no beard either...
It’s looking like the weather may be a bit “unsettled” tomorrow. If there is any change to the meeting, we’ll let you know via email, and I will post it here as well..
